The favorites (designated with a minus sign in front of the number), are who most might expect this year. But one oddsmaker at SportsBetting.ag, the site offering the show odds, said the Globe always has a surprise or two.

"I think Taron Edgerton has a chance to upset," said Paul , head of novelty prop bets at SportsBetting. "The Golden Globes like new talent -- they want to be the first to 'recognize' new talent -- so I think Edgerton has a real chance."

Edgerton is currently a +400 underdog (designated with a plus sign below) to win Best Actor in a motion picture musical or comedy. Eddie Murphy is the favorite in that category at -200.
