Dick Jerardi specializes in college basketball and horse racing for the Philadelphia Inquirer and he joins Drew Butler for this episode of BetOnline All Access, the 2021 Kentucky Derby Expert Picks edition.  All odds courtesy of BetOnline, which offers a 7% daily rebate.

Jerardi is liking Hot Rod Charlie at 8-1 odds.

He was the winner of the all-important Louisiana Derby and top three finisher in his previous three graded race starts (the Robert B. Lewis and Breeders Cup Juvenile), Hot Rod Charlie starts from the number 9 position.

The trainer of Hot Rod Charlie, Doug O'Neal, has won this race twice, Jerardi points out.

"He has a really good sense of it.  Flavian Prat is one of the top five jockeys in the country."
