2022-23 NBA Season Opens With Fun Props, Exotics and Futures
The soap opera that is the National Basketball Association begins regular season play Tuesday October 18 with a doubleheader on TNT. BetOnline has put together a bunch of great 2022-23 season prop bets, exotics and futures to take advantage of in addition to betting on the daily games.
Tuesday Night's Double Header
76ers vs. Celtics
This game features a -3 point line favoring Boston. The Sagarin ratings provide us with a number of 3.84, indicating the line is mostly on the money and ever so slightly a 1-point underlay. Most books had this number at -3 after opening at -2 and -2.5.
The Celtics won last season's Eastern Conference championship before falling to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. The 79ers are legitimate contenders to make the post season and perhaps a championship win as well.
Boston features a new head coach (Joe Mazzulla) and a new sixth man (Malcolm Brogdon).
"It's not an easy timing for him (Mazzulla) or the rest of the staff, but he's an exceptionally sharp and talented person," Celtics president Brad Stevens said. "I believe strongly in him and his ability to lead people, his ability to galvanize a room and get it behind him. And his ability to organize and understand all that comes with running a team during a season."
Lakers vs. Warriors
Golden State opened as a -5.5 home favorite with the line moving to -7 at most books by Tuesday evening. Sagarin gives us a number of 5.6, so this one opened accurate but has since become a 1.5 overlay.
