We’re down to two teams left in the College Baseball World Series, and I can promise you that this is a highly unexpected matchup.

When the CWS odds first opened in February (odds below my signature), North Carolina was 20/1 and Oklahoma was 66/1 at BetOnline.ag.

When the CWS odds were opened after the Field of 64 was announced (odds below my signature), North Carolina was 9/1 and Oklahoma was 40/1 at BetOnline.ag.

North Carolina, favored over Oklahoma in the best of three matchup to win the CWS, has never won the College Baseball World Series.

Oklahoma last won in 1994 (think around the time of the OJ chase) and then in 1951. Both years, Oklahoma was undefeated in College World Series play.

College Baseball World Series Final

North Carolina -170

Oklahoma +140

Note: Current odds imply a 63% probability of UNC winning the 2026 CWS.
