ABOUT THE 49ERS (5-0): Despite throwing only seven touchdown passes and five interceptions this season, Garoppolo has become the eighth quarterback in the Super Bowl era with at least 13 wins (13) in his first 15 career starts. Tight end George Kittle, who made eight catches for 108 yards last week, has recorded at least 50 receiving yards in 10 consecutive contests - the second-longest active streak in the league (Travis Kelce, 12 games). The defense has allowed just one rushing TD, 33 passing first downs and 10 completions of 20 or more yards, ranking first in the NFL in each of those categories.

ABOUT THE REDSKINS (1-5): Safety Landon Collins was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after recording 12 tackles (one for loss), one sack and a forced fumble against the Dolphins. McLaurin has been one of the few bright spots during Washington's dismal season thus far as he leads all rookies in catches (23), receiving yards (408) and receiving touchdowns (five). The 24-year-old can join Earl McCullouch (seven in 1968) this week as the only players in NFL history to record at least 50 receiving yards in their first six career games.
