For some, roster spots will be won and lost over the next three weeks of the preseason. And there are a handful of starting jobs that will likely shape out as well.

SportsBetting.ag has set odds for five of the most publicized position battles heading into the preseason, which you can find below. Three are quarterbacks, while the other two are running backs.

The 49ers and Commanders QB competitions are heavily weighted towards the favorites. The Bucs' battle between Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask is more of a tossup.

For the RB battles in Philly and Seattle, the odds are for who will be the bellcow in Week 1, not necessarily who will record the first carry.

Brock Purdy                  -500

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
