Better Collective, a Denmark media outlet considered to be one of the top developers of educational platforms within the iGaming industry, has announced its intention to buy the U.S. betting-analytics firm Action Network for $240 million.

In doing to, the company says it is seeking more scale in dealings with gambling operators.

This is the latest in a seris of bold moves by betting companies to purchase media outlets tied to the gaming sector.

Last week, DraftKings Inc., a digital entertainment and gaming company, purchased rights to a popular podcast by former ESPN host Dan Le Batard for $50 million.

Mattress Mack Loses $2.4 Million, Steve Kornacki a Winner

The man known as “Mattress Mack” bet $2.4 million on Essential Quality to win this past weekend's Kentucky Derby.  That turned out to be a loser.

Jim McIngvale, aka “Mattress Mack”, owns the Gallery Furniture chain in Houston. He's known for placing large bets in the millions.

Of the NBC prognosticators, only the magic election board khaki wearing Steve Kornaki picked the winner of Saturday's race, Medina Spirit.  He claimed to have cracked down the numbers, similar to what he does on Election Night for MSNBC, to arrive at his pick.

Kornaki makes it all look so easy.
