Alabama Payout Odds to Win the 2023 NCAA Tournament - Sweet 16
Alabama promised a payout of $350 for every $100 bet should they go on to win the 2023 NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament. They had been the co-favorites with Houston heading into the second round but were now the sole favorites coming into the Sweet 16.
Making it Look Easy the First Two Games
The No. 1 seed Crimson Tide easily beat Texas A&M Corpus Christi in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, 96-75. Interestingly they failed to cover the -24.5 spread though. Nick Pringle posted a double-double Thursday. He also totaled 19 points and 15 rebounds on 8-of-10 shooting in just 21 minutes of action.
Miller became the focus of heightened scrutiny and media attention after it was revealed that Tuscaloosa police revealed details of their murder investigation involving former Alabama player Darius Miles and another man, who are charged in the fatal shooting on Jan. 15 near the college campus. Investigators testified it was Miller who delivered Miles' gun to him, leading to the homicide.
Miller insisted the added security was not a distraction but Alabama head coach Nate Oats did reveal on Wednesday that Miller is playing through an injury.
The off-the-court distractions have't exactly affected Alabama's play as they managed to crush Maryland 73-51.
Jahvon Quinerly scored 15 of his game-high 22 in the second half while Miller scored 19 points and seven rebounds.
Next Up for Bama - SDSU
Alabama will face off against San Diego State in the Sweet 16 as a -7.5 favorite.
