Beloved Sports Bettor Portrayed by Bruce Willis Alan “Dink” Denkenson in Hospice Care
Well wishes were pouring in all day Saturday for a beloved sports betting figure who has entered into hospice care.
A family friend of Alan "Dink" Denkenson confirmed the famed professional sports bettor and bookie had taken a turn for the worst following a week in the ICU. Details of his illness were not immediately disclosed.
"Hi, this is a family friend of Alan 'Dink'. It is with great sadness that we share that Alan is in hospice. He fought the good fight in the ICU this past week, but he knew it was time to transition to hospice today. He is being given morphine every 4 hours and resting comfortably."
Bruce Willis portrayed "Dink" in the 2012 film "Lay the Favorite".
