Trainer Bob Baffert may have thrown his toys out of his pram when Medina Spirit drew 9 of 10 in the Pennsylvania Derby causing a scratch, but it has failed to deter from what remains a fascinating race!

Triple Crown rivals Hot Rod Charlie and Midnight Bourbon face off once again and they are joined by the likes of Keepmeinmind, Bourbonic and Weyburn for this 2021 renewal. However the main danger to the top two this weekend just might come from the inside draw where the Brad Cox trained Fulsome looks to step up on his impressive last outing in the Smarty Jones Stakes here at Parx just over one month ago.

Baffert also scratched Private Mission from the Cotillion Stakes for Fillies earlier on the card leaving the race to the apparent mercy of Clairiere, who has placed in her last two Grade 1 attempts. Army Wife and Always Carina won’t allow her to have matters all her own way while Maracuja will be looking for a return to form after a disappointing last run.

We offer four Stakes Races in total from Parx on Saturday.

At the Belmont, Life Is Good will be looking to continue to get his career back on track after injury and a change of stable when he contests the Kelso Handicap over one mile. Facing just four rivals, the win should be a formality before heading to Del Mar for an attempt at the Breeders’ Cup Mile. We also feature the Athenia Stakes for Fillies and Mares where a field of six race for 200k.

Three Stakes Races from Churchill Downs complete the weekends action for BetOnline on the Fixed Odds front and lines will be fully available from 10 a.m. ET on Friday.
