How Good is Saint Mary's

Saint Mary’s ended Gonzaga’s 17-game winning streak, beating a No. 1 team for the first time since knocking off the Bulldogs in the 2019 conference tournament title game.

“It’s kind of life in late February and early March, especially on the road,” Gonzaga coach Mark Few said. His team clinched the WCC regular-season title last weekend.

The Zags followed that one up with a win and half point cover (-12.5) of Saint Mary's Tuesday night to win the WCC Tourney.

Andrew Nembhard scored 19 points, Rasir Bolton added 18.

“Their offense is as good as any in the country,” Saint Mary's coach Randy Bennett said. “There's a lot of things you have to do right to have a chance and we did that for a while, but you have to do it for 40 minutes."

As an away favorite since 2017 Straight Up, Saint Mary's is 35-7-0 for an 83.3% win percentage.

As an away underdog, St. Mary's is 4-11-0 (46.7%).

Against The Spread since 2016, Saint Mary's is 26-16-0 (62%) as an away favorite.

Against ranked opponents they are 8-14-1 (36.4%).

Saint Mary's pays out $10,000 on a $100 bet with a 2022 NCAA Men's College Basketball Championship win.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
