Dave Mason of BetOnline continues to monitor Saturday night's UFC 279 betting action.

As Gambling911.com reported Thursday night, there was a total shit show backstage at the UFC 279 presser, forcing President Dana White to cancel for the first time ever.

We are learning more details about the backstage brawl.

According to reports, Khamzat Chimaev reportedly push kicked Kevin Holland in the chest, resulting in the melee.

UFC fighter Darren Till brushed off White's comments Thursday that "all hell broke loose".

“It’s nothing, it’s just team vs. team,” Till said in an interview with The MacLife. “It’s like they’re gonna protect Nate and we’re gonna protect Khamzat and it’s team vs. team. That’s all it is.”

As for BetOnline, Mason believes this will be his company's biggest liability ever in nearly 23 years in business.

He previously tweeted out:

"Next Saturday's Khamzat Chimaev (-1500) vs Nate Diaz (+700) fight is still trending to be the biggest MMA decision in the history of the company. We will need Khamzat huge. Already twice as many bets on Diaz than tomorrows two main event fighters combined (Gane & Tuivasa)."

The top bet counts as of Friday for UFC 279 were:

1. Nate Diaz +900

2. Tony Ferguson +250

3. Irene Aldana -160

4. Johnny Walker +185

5. Daniel Rodriguez +165

Friday Morning NFL Betting Action Report

Heavy lopsided action reported on these NFL games:

Ravens (@ Jets) - 93% of tickets

Saints (@ Falcons) - 78% of tickets

49ers (@ Bears) - 81% of tickets

Colts (@ Texans) - 78% of tickets

Vikings (vs. Packers) - 70% of tickets

Broncos (@ Seahawks) - Very Early 91% of tickets

The Colts-Texans line shot down from -8 to -7 on Tuesday and was sitting at -7 ever since (favoring Indianapolis at Houston).  Some books had the number as high as -9.5 with the Tuesday drop as much as two points.  Gambling911.com has already pulled the trigger on Houston at +7.

The Baltimore Ravens continue to pull in the sickest lopsided spread action of the week (93% currently).

On Thursday it was reported that Jets QB Zach Wilson will likely sit out until Week 4.  This means Joe Flacco starting against the very team he brought to the Super Bowl years back.

"We're going to make sure mind and body are 110 percent and make sure we do right by him," Jets coach Robert Saleh said of Wilson, the No. 2 overall pick in 2021. "We feel like, from talking to the doctors and everyone, it's going to be that Pittsburgh week."

The Flacco news has been assumed all along by the books.  That is reflected in the fact that we've seen virtually no line change over the past week.

Well, there are some notable exceptions.

PointsBet has shifted between 6.5 and 7, then crossed the dreaded 7 to 7.5 Friday for a 20 minute period (2:22 am to 2:42 am) before dropping back down to the 7.

Gambling911.com was still on a lean Jets +7 as of Friday morning.
