Failed Covers So Far This Season

As of February 16, the Jazz have failed to cover the spread in only seven games out of 28 played.  They have only lost five games Straight Up.

Two of these losses Against The Spread were early in the season with both lines closing at -9.  A third consecutive ATS loss closed at -4.

More recently, the Jazz failed to cover its biggest spread of the season, -12.5.  That was against the Detroit Pistons at home and was a miss by a half point (winning by 12 points).

They also failed to cover at one of the lowest closing lines of the season, -2.5 on the road versus Denver.

Only twice this season have the Jazz been underdogs - at home hosting the LA Clippers at +3.5 and on the road in Milwaukee at +5.5.  Both were wins!

A Closer Look at the Lines

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
