Even when a team is winning outright, this doesn't necessarily mean they are covering the spread.  Gambling911.com looks at recent game performance for specific teams to see who is winning out - the bookie or the bettor.  Here we look at the UNC Tar Heels as of February 22.

North Carolina just beat the number one ranked Duke team in the hottest game of the College Basketball season thus far (certainly the most bet on).

The Tar Heels come into Saturday's game hovering around the .500 mark Against The Spread.  Over the past ten games, UNC now ranks as a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10 covering as they've gone 7-3 ATS in their last ten.

UNC will face off against FSU on Saturday and owns this series.  They are 7-1 against the Noles.  Note that Florida State beat them in their last meeting back in January 2018.  That one was at home for FSU.   Three of the last four Tar Heels home games against the Noles were blowouts.

Keep in mind these teams have identical records at 21-5.  Both are ranked.

Despite having the same records, Sagarin indicated a line of -9 for North Carolina.  Books were offering UNC early at -7.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
