The social media melee started when Justin Bieber challenged Tom Cruise to an MMA fight on Twitter. Bieber asked who would promote the fight if Cruise accepted, and tweeted at UFC President Dana White.
That's when UFC superstar Conor McGregor chimed in on Twitter and said his company would promote the fight. But shortly following that tweet, McGregor challenged Mark Wahlberg to fight on the same day and same venue as the proposed Bieber-Cruise fight.
