Cloudbet Claims 600 Percent Increase in Bitcoin Cash Betting During World Cup
There is little doubt that the World Cup has resulted in a significant increase in wagering activity that is typically lacking this time of year. But what we didn't know prior to the start of this year's tournament is what its impact would be on the crypto gaming market. Now we do.
Betting with digital currency such as bitcoin was not readily available with the last World Cup in 2014. One of the larger crypto gaming companies, Cloudbet, was only beginning to get its feet wet at that time.
This weekend, Cloudbet confirmed just how good the World Cup has performed for the relatively new betting firm.
In the first 10 days of the this year's World Cup, they saw the number of bitcoin cash bets soar by 600% from the same period immediately before the start of the tournament.
