Analysts described the Play In game as a sort of "Purgatory", not a regular season matchup and not a post season game either.
For oddsmakers the likes of Dave Mason at BetOnline, this one was more like Hell.
The betting public was backing three outcomes that came through for them: The Grizzlies covering the spread, the Blazers winning outright on the money line, and the Over 229.5. To make matters worse, sharp action was on the Grizzlies at +6.5 as well.

Perhaps the worst outcome of all is no Game 2 on Sunday. Portland needed only to win Saturday in order to advance into the Playoffs. They will face a Lakers team that has managed to go 3-5 since arriving in the Orlando Bubble.
