After Colby Covington's victory over Jorge Masvidal last night, he was quick to call out Dustin Poirier for his next fight.

A unanimous decision was the outcome and Covington admitted it “wasn’t my best performance.

Covington was a pretty big favorite here too at -305.

“Just a lot of emotions going into it,” Covington explained to MMA Fighting after his main event win on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena. “That was a real friend of mine at one point in my career, and he’s such a backstabbing thief, and he talks so reckless. He tried to make some false narratives to the media and lies like he does – he’s a liar. He’s a thief. So I let the emotions get the best of me, but it was still dominant.

“I just showed how good I was, that I am the No. 1 fighter in the world for a reason, and it wasn’t even competitive tonight.”

Also, on the night of UFC 272, Dana White confirmed that Gilbert Burns will take on Khazmat Chimaev at UFC 273 in a highly-anticipated bout.

SportsBetting.ag released odds for both of the aforementioned fights Sunday morning. The lower-ranked Chimaev is a massive favorite against Burns and Covington falls into the same boat against Poirier.

Burns vs. Chimaev Odds
