The North Manchester-Hooksett Little League all-stars lost 10-2 to Torrance, Calif., in the Little League World Series opener Thursday.

This California team is the first from Los Angeles County to play in the series since 1994.

Torrance took an early lead with three singles and a few walks to put up four runs in just the second inning. They added four more in the fifth eventually leading to the 10-2 victory.

Torrance will next face Ohio on Sunday at 9 am ET, a game that will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
