Could Draftkings Be Coming to Oregon Soon?

  • The Oregon Lottery plans to move away from its current distastrous app, Scoreboard, and instead operate one powered by Draftkings.
  • The Oregon Scoreboard app is run by SBTech, a company Draftkings purchased last year.  The SBTech contract started prior to this acquisition however.
  • Per LegalSportsReport: "The contract between SBTech and the Oregon Lottery has been the source of some consternation in the state, as SBTech fought to hide the details of its arrangement in Oregon."
  • Online sports betting will remain a monopoly endeavor between the lottery and DraftKings in the state.

  • SBTech reports winnings to the US Internal Revenue Service, BetUS does not.
