Can I Bet on NFL Games Online From California?

California will not be offering sports betting from any of its casinos this 2021-22 NFL season with two solid teams (the LA Rams and Chargers) and one questionable, the San Francisco 49ers.  Do not dispair as a few dozen sites licensed outside the state will accept wagers on the upcoming NFL and College Football season in addition to the NFL Draft, which features hundreds or prop wagering options.  BetAdrian offers a generous welcome bonus (150% what you open your account with).

WILL CALIFORNIA WELCOME SPORTS BETTING IN THE NEAR FUTURE?

It's complicated as the state has for many years tried legalizing online poker but has had to deal with varying agendas and competing Tribes that have their own interests that do not always coincide with others.

More importantly, the state legislature tends to end the year early.  This will be a problem in 2020 with the coronavirus pandemic throwing everything into disarray.

While the tribes were in the process of considering legislation at some point, mobile betting is likely not in the cards as there is an almost unanimous desire to have all wagering take place on the casino properties, not in one's living room.

Your Teams Are Looking Good Heading Into 2022

Whether it's the reigning Super Bowl champion Rams at 11-1 odds or either the LA Chargers or San Francisco 49ers, each at 16-1 odds, NFL fans in California have plenty to celebrate.

The Rams won the 2022 Super Bowl with Cooper Kupp capping things off when he caught a 1-yard pass from Matthew Stafford with 1:25 remaining.

The LA win over Tampa Bay was 23-20.

The 49ers enter the season ranked 13th in the NFL Pro Football Focus.

While the 49ers look solid across the board with their roster, Ben Linsey of Pro Football Focus believed there were many uncertainties surrounding the offensive line following two key offseason departures.

"San Francisco's interior offensive line will have to replace Laken Tomlinson at left guard after he followed Robert Saleh to the Jets in free agency," wrote Linsey. "Alex Mack's retirement after 13 NFL seasons opens up another hole at center. Given that right guard — manned by Daniel Brunskill and his 57.1 PFF grade in 2021 — was already the weak point of their offensive line last season, that's three potential unknowns and question marks on the inside."
