Online Betting in California

With the 2019 California legislative session due to end September 13, there is not much time to get a bill passed this year that would allow online sportsbooks to physically operate in the Golden State, but we can't fault one lawmaker for trying.  Currently, the only online sports betting sites accessible to those in California are licensed in offshore jurisdictions like Costa Rica, Malta and The United Kingdom.

A measure to legalize sports in the Golden State has been introduced by California Assemblyman Adam Gray.

ACA 16 would seek to get legalized sports betting on a voter referendum for November 2020.

"The goal is to get something on the 2020 November ballot," Gray told ESPN on Thursday.

Don't count on it.

Gambling911.com has long followed the plight of special interests trying to get online poker legalized in the state and we quickly learn that there is so much infighting among the powerful tribal nations.  Getting lawmakers, the tribes and other parties in the state on the same page is akin to trying to set a fire with a water soaked match.

Why Can I Access Bookmaker.eu From California

The company is licensed in Costa Rica and accepts bets from across the globe without having to report to any local government agency.  They leave that part up to the gambler.

There are now a few sportsbooks cropping up in various US states that allow sports wagering.  They are easy to access, tend to pay in a timely fashion, and some (not most) post decent lines.  The buck stops there, however, as the vast majority of these books are so intrusive one feels like they have to give up their next born child.  That's just one of the reasons stateside bookmakers are reporting an increase in head (customer) size since the US Supreme Court ruled to allow sports betting nationwide.  Note that individual states typically must amend their own laws (so far, New Mexico has proven the exception to this rule).
