PokerStars forbids those from Ohio from playing for real money on their website. Alternatives include Americas Cardroom, available to play for real money in all 50 states.
Poker law in Ohio seemingly (maybe inadvertantly) permits individuals to play the game in private. This could be interpreted to mean one can play online from the comfort of their own living room, but not in a public place.
