Can I Use Bovada to Bet Sports if I'm in California

The online sportsbook and casino site Bovada (formerly known as Bodog) is among the many online gambling sites accessible to those living in the state of California.  It is currently not endorsed by Gambling911.com.  BetUS is also accessible from California and is endorsed by Gambling911.com.

Back in May of 2018 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled to abolish decades long prohibition against sports betting.  As such, more and more people are becoming acclimated to the activity, especially in the state of California, where it seems there are endless big name teams to place wagers on.

California does not have any sportsbooks in state.  That's not likely to happen any time soon due to the conflicts of interest and special agendas with the tribes that run most gambling businesses in the state.  For now gamblers will have to rely on offshore sports betting and casino sites.

Horse racing, we would note, is very popular in the state.  Bets are taken at all of California's horse racing facilities.  Both U.S.-based and internationally licensed gambling firms take wagers on horse racing from state residents.

Poker rooms are also plentiful.  Bovada, Americas Cardroom, Global and a few others do accept customers from California but none of the state's card rooms offer their own real money poker sites.
