If you've loaded the FanDuel app within Pennsylvania and plan on traveling outside the state, beware there are only a few states that allow wagering on that app. You may want to open a betting account with another site licensed outside of PA prior to your departure. You May Still Be Able to Bet With FanDuel
If traveling to New Jersey, FanDuel is not only available here, it pretty much dominates the sports betting market along with Draftkings.
West Virginia is another neighboring state where one can access the FanDuel website.
A trip to Chicago or anywhere else in Illinois allows for betting with FanDuel as does a visit to Denver or Indianapolis. FanDuel is also available for betting in the state of Iowa.
Because FanDuel abides by strict US licensing protocol, it will only enter markets where individual states dole out their own licenses and steep taxation. Expect entries into the Michigan, Virginia and Tennessee markets soon.
You'll Probably Get Better Lines
Because Pennsylvania imposes a ridiculous 36% tax on operators, at some point this will have to get passed down to customers in the form of "bad" lines. FanDuel tends to be competitive nonetheless. It is unclear how off FanDuel lines are on certain games compared to those of their competitors or even out-of-state variations of their own brand.
Can I Bet On Elections?
FanDuel is only allowed to take bets on the US Presidential Election in West Virginia. Jazz Sports offers a wide range of political props including US Elections.
