It's days like December 29 that the offshore books love when it comes to catering to sports betting exposed sports bettors in the state of New Jersey.
Nearly a dozen apps are available to those living or visiting the Garden State, but offshore books have a great edge when it comes to local college games.
Case in point, Seton Hall hosted St. John's and folks will be lining up at the NJ sportsbooks and logging onto their apps to bet their beloved Pirates. Unfortunately, they won't be able to get on Seton Hall at either the retail locations or the app. New Jersey law prohibits betting on any of the state's college teams. This is where the offshore books come in.
The same holds true for all subsequent games, including the Big East Semifinal that had the Pirates advance to the Big East Championship game versus Villanova, this despite being chosen to finish 8th in the preseason.
