Allyn Jaffrey described the ordeal via her Facebook account:

"Had a BIG scare! Came home from a FAB PHS high school "Legends Reunion" in Cali. Went straight to Rich Korbin's Celebration of Life. Came home to see my sweet boy doubled over in pain moaning. Called our doc and after describing his symptoms, which he had for days, doc said Barry needed to get to the ER immediately. After many hours, tests, poking and prodding, we learned that thank G-D it isn't life threatening!! Probably an ulcer, real bad tummy. Poor boy.. needs some extra love, and meds, tums and toast."

Former Detroit Red Wings forward Bobby Ryan Arrested

Former Detroit Red Wings forward Bobby Ryan won the Masterton Trophy in 2020 after supposedly overcoming substance abuse issues but this week he was arrested at the Nashville Airport for public intoxication.

According to reporting from ScoopNashville.com:

Ryan was seen taking several items from an airport store without paying. Airport police were given notification of this, setting out searching for Ryan. Abandoning the stolen items on a counter, Ryan ended up entering Little Harpeth Brewing with the police in pursuit. He was found sitting at the bar, awaiting a drink he’d just ordered.

The police report stated that Ryan was suffering from "extreme intoxication".

Following the standard eight-hour public intoxication hold, police released Ryan, dropping all charges.  The store where he was reportedly seen removing items without paying declined to press charges against him.

Ryan is currently an unrestricted free agent.
