Shooting Star Thoroughbreds' Chance It will start from the far outside.

"It's not a post you want to be in," trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. said of the No. 12 hole. "I know (2008 Florida Derby hero) Big Brown won from there. I don't know if we're a Big Brown."

Joseph Jr. initially believed there would only be eight horses running, having the twelve makes the race more difficult for Chance It to win from that post position.  He even considered scratching him from the race but as of Friday night Chance It was still slated to run.

"It's a disadvantageous post, in my opinion," Joseph told Gaudet.
