Could Clemson Really Go 0-4 Against The Spread After Week 4?

Barring an upset, the Clemson Tigers should have little trouble beating North Carolina State to go 4-0 Straight Up on the season.  But a failed cover would mean the Tigers start 2021 0-4 Against The Spread.

Gambling911.com assigned an -8.5 line to this game and they could still be gotten for -9.5 with most books offering Clemson at -10.

There is enough motivation for Clemson to play much harder in this one as they are currently falling in the rankings and losing faith among pundits.

From purely an oddsmaking perspective, having a good team like this lose four covers in a row is bad business.  Gambling911.com will be backing Clemson based on this factor alone.  Well, there are more considerations.

While Clemson's offense has been less than stellar, their defense is winning games. Meanwhile, the Wolfpack offense stalled on the ground in the loss to Mississippi State, and the ground attack won't be much use this week either.

The only hope NC State might have is Clemson losing DT Tyler Davis to a torn bicep for this game and likely at least another month.

Clemson ranked No. 9 in the AP poll and pays $1000 for every $100 bet to win the College Football Championship.
