Clemson 0-6 Against The Spread

Week 8 should be the week that Clemson finally covers a spread....but then again, that's what we thought would happen in Week 7.

The oddsmakers typically allow for no more than a three-win difference between the Straight Up and Against The Spread record, and that's over the course of a regular season.  With the Tigers there are bound to be a few gamblers who are making out like bandits these last few weeks fading Clemson.  Unfortunately Gambling911.com has been on the other side of the equation.

Week 8 has the 4-2 Tigers as a rare +3.5 underdog against a 5-1 Pittsburgh team. We have the Panthers -3.  The line opened at -3 and has reached -4 at a handful of books.

For its part, Pittsburgh has managed to maintain an identical 5-1 record Against The Spread.

Historic trends point to Week 8 as the one in which Clemson finally covers.  They've beaten Pittsburgh by double digits their last two meetings and lost by a single point in 2016.
