Clemson Georgia Tech Prop Bets Monday Night College Football

Let's hope that the Clemson Tigers can start covering games once again.  For sports bettors last year, it was difficult accepting that the Tigers actually had a decent enough season, finishing with a 9-3 record.

Clemson started the season an unprecedented 0-7 Against The Spread.  At some point, we assumed they'd have to turn things around, and they ultimately did.  The Tigers closed the season 5-1 ATS.

Now we gotta rely on Clemson having the ability to cover a -22 spread against Georgia Tech.

It appears that the sharps pounded away at the Yellow Jackets early on.

BetOnline opened Clemson at -22 and this was quickly bet down to -20.5 four days later.

We are back up to -22 with the public loving Clemson.  BetOnline was now as high as -23.5.

There is reason to celebrate Clemson and their ability to now cover a 24-point spread.

DJ Uiagalelei and Cade Klubnik sit atop the QB depth chart and were both vying for the starting job.  Uiagalelei got it, for now.   The oddsmakers anticipated Uiagalelei total passing yards Monday night to be in the neighborhood of 227½.

Uiagalelei threw for 781 and four touchdowns with no picks with two rushing touchdowns as a freshman vs. Boston College and Notre Dame.  But he struggled last season early, throwing ten interceptions to just nine touchdowns.

Should Uiagalelei look even remotely shaky Monday night, Clemson has Klubnik as a go-to replacement.

Klubnik was the crown jewel of Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney's 2022 recruiting class, earning No. 1 quarterback status, per 247Sports.

"DJ is the starter and he's earned that. If that changes, I guess everybody will know it,. But our plan is for DJ to have an amazing season and for Cade to get as much PT (playing time) as possible, because he brings some special gifts to the table. That will all be game by game."

Elsewhere, the offensive line for Clemsn is full of veterans and the defense should be stellar.

As for Georgia Tech, the oddsmakers have the Yellow Jackets winning no more than four regular season games, and that's being generous.

Sagarin has Clemson (5) with a 90.95 power rating.  Georgia Tech (82) sits on a 67.48 power rating.  We're not giving them home field advantage as the game is being played in Atlanta, a mere two hour drive from Clemson.   That gives us a line of Tigers -23.

When you see a book like Bovada moving the line all the way to -24, we know there is desperation at play to get money on Georgia Tech.  That's because 85% or more of the bets were on Clemson to cover here.

This one has all the makings of a blowout.  We'll be all over Clemson here at the current -23.5 number.

There is a good prop to play that is pricey but actually has some value.  The Double/Double on Clemson leading after the first half and winning the game pays $10 for every $47.50 bet.  So wager around $100 to win $20. It sounds obscene but we can't see Georgia Tech leading at any point during this game and you'll be looking at a moneyline of -2500 on the Tigers to win outright.
