Dallas Cowboys vs Minnesota Vikings Free Picks
If Dak Prescott can't go for the Cowboys, the task falls to Cooper Rush, an undrafted fifth-year pro out of Central Michigan with three career NFL passes to his name, here is my pick.
Prescott is questionable for Sunday night's matchup vs. the Vikings while he nurses a calf injury.
Dallas comes into tonight’s game on a five-game winning streak, since losing the season opener at Tampa Bay. They have the Number 1 offense in the league, averaging 34.2 points and 461 total yards per game. In addition to being 6-0 against the spread this season, the Cowboys are also 5-1 to the over.
Since being held to 20 pts in Week 2 against the Chargers, Dallas has scored 41, 36, 44, and 35 pts in its last four games and they are dangerous when they can get the running game going because it opens things up for QB Dak Prescott and makes the play-action pass a real weapon. That doesn’t bode well for a Viking’s defense that is #28 in rushing defense, allowing 4.8 yards per rush.
In Minnesota’s last nine games against Top 8 offenses in the league, they have allowed an average of 32.7 points per game. So, we really think Dallas is going to have plenty of scoring opportunities so for our NFL expert picks, let’s play over the Cowboys team total of 26.5 points.
