Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports that the trade was nearly done early in the week but various issues prevented this from coming to fruition. Glazer notes that he believes the Dolphins want Watson to resolve the 22 pending civil cases before finalizing a trade. Those cases have not yet been settled.

For the past few weeks, the Miami Dolphins have been considered the favorites to land Watson in a trade.

The deadline is November 2 and the Houston Texans have a big decision to make.

For now, the oddsmakers list Houston as the favorites to keep Watson at -200.

Outside of Houston, Miami remains the favorite.

Dolphins Head Coach Brian Flores insisted that Tua Tagovailoa will be the team’s starting quarterback for the rest of 2021.

Odds to Land Desaun Watson After the Trade Deadline

Texans -200

Dolphins +225

Panthers +950

Eagles +1000

Broncos +1000

Steelers +1500

Saints +2500

Bears +3000
