Dodgers-Marlins Game Monday July 5: Why We Like the Under 7 and LA at -152

Walker Buehler (8-1, 2.35 ERA) is slated to start Monday for the LA Dodgers.  In most scenarios, LA would be better than a -190 favorite in Miami but the Marlins will start Trevor Rogers.  This means the price comes in at an appetizing -152 at BetOnline.

Rodgers is 7-5 with a 2.14 ERA and starts in Miami.  This has factored into the relatively low price as we don't expect to see anything under -190 the rest of this series.

And there is an argument for the UNDER 7 as well.

Only Miguel Rojas has had an RBI off of Buehler with 30 at bats by the Marlins.   They have had 8 hits however.  The Marlins are 1-6 in their last 7 games vs. a right-handed starter.

Rogers will come into this game desperate for a win following a string of losses and no-decisions after coming off the injury list.

The UNDER is 8-1-1 in the Dodgers last 10 overall and both starters should bring their A-Games.  The last two of three meetings between these teams stayed UNDER 8.

The UNDER is 5-1-1 in the Marlins last 7 games as a home underdog and 5-2 in their last seven games overall.

The scenario we see is one in which both starters pitch near flawless innings, making it into the 7th perhaps.

We do like the UNDER 7 here and the Dodgers -152.
