Keri faces four charges: two counts of assault, one count of assault causing bodily harm and one count of uttering death threats.

He was detained Thursday after being arrested at the couple’s Montreal-area home.

The couple have been married for one year.

Keri’s lawyer Louis Morena also provided a statement:

“Death threats are sometimes said in a moment of anger especially when there’s an emotional situation of divorce and you’re seeing your family go down the drain,” Morena told reporters.
