Full details of the multiyear deal were not immediately know.  Major League Baseball has become the second most popular sport bet by Draftkings customers after NFL.

“This is going to give us better, faster data, and allow us to power a lot of in-game wagering,” said Ezra Kucharz, DraftKings’ chief business officer. “You’re going to see us do more, faster propositions that are tied to individual at-bats, and maybe even pitch-by-pitch.”

Once an operator receives the MLB stamp of approval, it is then allowed to work with one of league’s official data partners.  These include Sportradar AG or Perform Group, each of which provides access to live feeds from games around the country.

DraftKings and MGM Resorts International, which signed a marketing partnership last November, are the only sports books to partner directly with the league so far.

The news comes just days after Draftkings partnered with the PGA Tour.

DraftKings was named the first-ever “Official Daily Fantasy Game of the PGA TOUR.”

“We are excited to partner with DraftKings, an industry leader in innovation and fan engagement, in this groundbreaking step for the PGA TOUR,” said Luis Goicouria, PGA TOUR Senior Vice President Media. “The partnership with DraftKings provides the TOUR with a unique opportunity to innovate in a new industry and to further engage our fans.”
