ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE SOCCER SATURDAY BEST BETS

LIVERPOOL AT SHEFFIELD UNITED

Chelsea gave Liverpool a spirited battle last time out but a furious late game rally fell short.  As a result, Liverpool remains undefeated and on top of the Premiership table.  Liverpool has a Champions League game against Salzburg on deck but likely won’t fall asleep here in the second half like they did at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

BET LIVERPOOL -1.5 +104 OVER SHEFFIELD UNITED
BET LIVERPOOL/SHEFFIELD UNITED UNDER 3 -118

WATFORD AT WOLVERHAMPTON

The two bottom teams on the EPL table do battle at Molineux Stadium.  Watford is still looking for their first Premiership win of the season though a win over Swansea City in league cup play should boost their spirit.  The Hornets negligible defense will make the difference here—they’ve allowed a ridiculous 18 goals in 6 games including 10 in 3 games away from home.

BET WOLVERHAMPTON -1/2 -115 OVER WATFORD
BET WOLVERHAMPTON/WATFORD OVER 2.5 +100

WEST HAM UNITED AT AFC BOURNEMOUTH

Vitality Stadium will host this game between a pair of teams just bubbling under the top tier.  West Ham is in 5th place with Bournemouth one point behind in sixth.  West Ham is unbeaten on the road in Premier League play but have drawn twice.  That will likely be their goal here.

BET WEST HAM UNITED/AFC BOURNEMOUTH DRAW +235

NORWICH CITY AT CRYSTAL PALACE

Crystal Palace is at the tail end of the six team pack in the middle of the Premiership table with 8 points.  They’re unbeaten at home this year (1-2-0) while Norwich City has laid an egg on the road (0-0-3).  The bigger concern for the visitors has been a complete lack of offense on their travels—they’ve scored just one goal while conceding eight.

BET CRYSTAL PALACE -0.5 -111 OVER NORWICH CITY

SOUTHAMPTON AT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

The Spurs are at the top of the aforementioned six team pack but they’ve looked nothing like the team that reached the Champions League Finals a year ago.  Their primary issue has been awful play on the road where they’re 0-2-1 scoring 5 and conceding 6.  Things have been much better at home where the Spurs have won 2 of 3 scoring 7 and conceding only 2.  Only loss at home was a tough 1-0 setback against Newcastle United.   Spurs fans are restless after the team was seen off in League Cup play losing in penalties to lower tier League Two Colchester United.  They’ll try to get back in their good graces with a strong showing here.

BET TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR -1, -1.5 -103 OVER SOUTHAMPTON
BET TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR/SOUTHAMPTON OVER 3 -102

Three more games for Saturday along with Sunday and Monday action upcoming in Part 2 of our English Premier League weekend preview!
