Erik Seidel Wins Ninth WSOP Bracelet
Erik Seidel has won his ninth World Series of Poker bracelet at Event #11: $10,000 Super MILLION$ High Roller of the 2021 WSOP Online on GGPoker for $977,842.
This ends a 14-year bracelet drought for Seidel. He's still 6 bracelets behind the all-time winner Phil Hellmuth, who congratulated Seidel via Twitter following his victory.
"Congrats @Erik_Seidel on winning @WSOP Bracelet #9! You are an all-time great poker player #POSITIVITY #ESNiceLife".
He defeated Uruguay's Francisco Benitez heads-up to win his ninth WSOP bracelet
Remarkably, Seidel had never finished higher than fourth in a WSOP bracelet event since 2007. The closest he has come prior to this week was 4th in the 2015 WSOP $10,000 2-7 Single Draw Championship.
To date, Seidel ranks as the 4th biggest money earner in the game of poker. He has won $ 37,822,375 in live tournaments. Only Brian Kenney, Justin Bonomo and Daniel Negreanu have won more.
