Ethereal Road Finished seventh in the Blue Grass and fourth in the Lexington in his last two starts.

His trainer, D. Wayne Lukas, did not offer an immediate explanation as to why the horse was scratched.

Rich Strike will replace Ethereal Road in the 20 post up position.

Rattle N Roll, the other also-eligible, is scratched.

Scratch time for both Oaks Day on Friday and Derby Day on Saturday was Friday morning at 9 a.m. Eastern.
