Browns X Factor? Not Baker Mayfield
Baker Mayfield, the former No. 1 overall pick, is not an elite quarterback, but he is getting there and had his best season yet in 2020, suggests Cooper Carlson of Clutch Sports.
The focus this season, he believes, should be on one Odell Beckham Jr.
And while it's true Beckham Jr. might not be the player he once was, there are going to be games where Mayfield and Beckham need to have an extremely strong connection in order to win, Carlson writes.
"The defense led by Myles Garrett, John Johnson III, and Denzel Ward will do their part. Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, and Jarvis Landry all need to continue to do what they’ve done the last couple seasons. Cleveland just has that open offensive hole, and Odell Beckham Jr. can perfectly fit into that role if all breaks right for him in his return from injury."
Beckham Jr Over 4½ Receptions in this game pays EVEN odds. Total receiving yards is listed at 62.5 priced at -115 for both the OVER and UNDER.
Chiefs: More Than Just Travis Kelce
From Adam Teicher of ESPN:
"The Chiefs retained all four tight ends -- Blake Bell, Travis Kelce, Noah Gray and Jody Fortson -- after their final cuts. They may not use them much together on the same play, but they didn't keep four to sit them on the bench either. The days of additional tight ends besides Kelce, once in vogue with the Chiefs, appear to be back."
"We were already dangerous [at tight end] before I was activated," Fortson said. "I think we just got a little bit more dangerous, to be honest with you. I believe in my talents and obviously they do as well because I'm on the active roster now, but it gives us the opportunity to form a lot of looks and create so many mismatches.
"It's going to be fun. It's fun to be a part of it. I wish I was in the stands to see it: 'Wow, they've got four guys out there!" I'm a part of it so it's dope."
Travis Kelce UNDER 7½ Receptions was coming in at -130. 95.5 Receiving Yards -115 both ways.
