Hot Teams
AL East
Tampa Bay Rays - The Rays are winning around 00% of their games of late and own a 80-48 record and they will need to keep playing hard to ensure a resurgent New York is kept at bay.
New York Yankees - On a 13-game win streak, the Yankees are now 76-52 but still two games down from Tampa. Great value now to win the World Series after opening as the favorite with a payout of $950 on every $100 bet.
----
AL West
Houston Astros - They are playing a bit better now, winning around 60% of their games and up 6.5 games above the imploding A's.
Seattle Mariners - The Mariners are playing well but are 7.5 games down from Houston.
----
NL East
Atlanta Braves - Heading into Monday, they were now up 5.5 games over the Phillies and playing at an 80% win rate. They owned a 69-58 record but were playing that other hot team in the league, the Yankees.
----
NL Central
Milwaukee Brewers - They own a 78-51 record and are playing at close to a 60% win rate at the moment and 7.5 games up from the Reds.

LA Dodgers - The Dodgers are back! They are playing at a 80% win rate. They own a 81-48 record.

Game Watch
1. Yankees @ Athletics -
Nestor Cortes Jr. (2-1, 2.56) vs. Frankie Montas (9-9, 3.84)
Montas struck out nine batters over seven shutout innings with two hits and two walks allowed in a no-decision as the A's lost 2-1 against the Giants on Sunday. It was one of his best starts of the season.
With the A's having enjoyed success against the Yankees in Oakland and Montas due for a win, avoid this one like the plague as we are certainly not backing Oakland at this time.
1. Royals @ Mariners
Daniel Lynch (4-3, 4.74) vs. Tyler Anderson (1-0, 3.00)
Total is 8.5.
KC has been playing well of late and have scored 5 or more runs in six of their last eight games. They have only permitted over 4 runs in three of their last ten games.
Lynch allowed just one run over five innings on Monday in a win over the Astros and, prior to that, just one run on four hits over seven innings in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Astros. He is coming off of four straight wins.
Anderson surrendered two runs over 5 1/3 innings on Sunday in a no-decision against the Astros and had a win prior to that game.
Seattle has scored 5 or more runs in half of their last ten games while allowing 6 or more, including two games against the Astros that resulted in 12 and 15 runs, respectively.
Recap
That one hurt last night as we put an end to a 6-game win streak. Heading into the 9th inning of the Yankees-Athletics game the score still had the total at 7 and we were on the UNDER 7.5 before the A's closer allowed a home run.
