Game Watch

1. Red Sox @ Mariners

Nathan Eovaldi BOS (10-8, 3.57) vs. Tyler Anderson SEA (1-1, 3.83)

OVER 8

Eovaldi was superb Wednesday versus the Rays, striking out eight over seven shutout innings in the Red Sox' 2-1 win.   Prior to that game, Eovaldi had a 3-1 lead going into the seventh before giving up a two-run homer to Austin Hedges. He was then pulled after an infield single. and he ended up taking his third straight no-decision.

The Mariners activated LHP Tyler Anderson from the bereavement list.

Anderson allowed four runs on seven hits and three walks over 4 2/3 innings but was not involved in the decision as the Mariners defeated the Astros on September 8th, 8-5.

Prior to that he allowed three runs on four hits and one walk with five strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision as the Mariners won 6-5 against the Diamondbacks.

Anderson has not had a win since August 18.

2. Brewers @ Tigers

Freddy Peralta MIL (9-4, 2.69) vs. Wily Peralta DET (3-3, 3.60)

OVER 9

Freddy Peralta allowed three runs -- one earned -- over just 3 2/3 innings Wednesday, escaping with a no-decision in the Brewers' 4-3 win over the Phillies.  He had a loss in his previous start.

Wily Peralta gave up six hits and walked three against the Pirates his last start but ultimately only gave up one run.

3. Angels @ White Sox

Packy Naughton LAA (0-1, 2.57) vs. Lucas Giolito CHW (9-9, 3.69)

Total 9

Naughton struck out five over five scoreless innings on Tuesday in his start against the Padres, but didn't factor into the decision.

Giolito held the Blue Jays to one run over six innings in a no-decision August 25 before going onto the injury list with left hamstring tightness.

In their last ten games overall, the Angels have not scored more than 5 runs and no more than 4 in eight of their last ten. They have allowed more than four in only three of their last ten games overall.

The White Sox have scored 2 or fewer runs in four of their last ten overall.
