Hot Teams

New York Yankees - It sure took long enough but the New York Yankees were on a roll.  They were winners of 8 of their last 10 heading into Saturday, including five straight.  The Yankees now pay $1700 on a $100 bet to win the World Series.

Milwaukee Brewers - Having won eight of their last ten games, the Brewers are certainly one of the hottest teams in the league at the moment and rule the NL Central with some good wiggle room being 7 games up from a Reds team that has been red hot of late.

Toronto Blue Jays - The Blue Jays were 9-1 in their last ten heading into this week.

Cincinnati Reds - They were 59-51 coming into Saturday and had won eight of their last ten games.

San Francisco Giants - 69 and 41 in the NL West and still four games up on the Dodgers.

Tampa Bay Rays - A consistently good team, they had won 8 of their last 10 games heading into Tuesday.

Chicago White Sox - They've just been playing average ball of late but maintain a solid 64-48 record.

Oakland Athletics - Just 2 games behind the Houston Astros, the A's are a contender with a 62-48 record ahead of this week's play.

Philadelphia Phillies - Winners of eight straight games ahead of Tuesday.  They owned a 59-53 record.

LA Dodgers - 65-45 but playing .500 baseball of late.

Houston Astros - They own a 65-45 record but have not had one of their better ten game stretches as the Astros headed into Saturday 4-6.

LA Angels - It's okay to bet the Angels.  They are a few wins over the .500 mark and have gone 9-5 in their last 14 games.

Game Watch

1. White Sox @ Twins

The White Sox were priced at -165 for Wednesday's 1:10 pm ET game.

Lance Lynn - (10-3, 2.04) - Lance Lynn delivered another dominant performance in a tough-luck no-decision against the Cubs on Friday afternoon, striking out eight over six-plus innings of one-run ball.  He hasn't had a win in his last two starts.

Take away Miguel Sano and Andrelton Simmons, Lynn has been outstanding against the Twins starters.  Neither of these two hitters have been particularly spectacular this season.

Bailey Ober (1-1, 4.99) starts for the Twins.  Half of the ten Chicago starters have scored a home run against Ober.

2. Cardinals @ Pirates

This one featured a line of St. Louis -165 at Draftkings overnight.

Colin Moran has been especially good against Cards starter Adam Wainwright.  He's 7 of 20 at bats versus Wainwright with four RBIs.

The Cardinals are 19-3 in the last 22 meetings in Pittsburgh, and this is something we simply cannot overlook.

Recap

The Cards handled the Pirates easily Tuesday, providing a nice win here.  We got beat up bad by both high priced favorites - The White Sox and Yankees.  Ideally we would have been fine if just one of these two teams had lost.  We'll still be on the White Sox but there is some concern over their 10.5 game lead in the AL Central as they can afford to lose a game or two or three.
