Brewers are a Heavily Backed Team This Evening

5:40 pm ET - The Milwaukee Brewers are seeing around 86% of the moneyline action Friday evening.

There is no indication of what the mindset of the books are here.  Though we may have an indication by gleaming over Pinnacle's line movement from Brewers -150 to -135.  That's a 15 point shift downward with all this action on Milwaukee. It's back up to -142 heading into the 6 pm ET hour.

Let's me clear.  This price is way too low. Look at Zach Davies starting for Milwaukee and you quickly realize why everyone is backing the Brewers.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Brewers RH Zach Davies (7-0, 2.41 ERA) vs. Giants LH Drew Pomeranz (1-6, 7.16)

Davies picked up his seventh win in as many decisions when he held Pittsburgh to three runs and seven hits - one homer - over five innings on Saturday. The 26-year-old went eight innings in 107 pitches in his previous turn but needed 101 pitches to get through five frames in Saturday's outing. Davies faced San Francisco at home last September and scattered two runs along with six hits over five innings without factoring in the decision.

Pomeranz turned in his most encouraging outing in over a month when he yielded three hits and struck out seven over five scoreless innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers last Friday. The former All-Star did not complete six innings in any of his last six turns and was lit up for eight runs over 1 1/3 frames at struggling Baltimore on May 31 before picking things up last time out. Pomeranz last saw Milwaukee as a member of the Boston Red Sox on May 9, 2017 and was knocked around for six runs across four innings in that outing.

Always keep in mind that San Francisco has one of the better bullpens, and it's what's keeping this team from being buried beneath the basement right now.

There is no denying Milwaukee has value with this price, but this one is just a little too good to be true.

Fine Levied Against Online Casino Operator Platinum Gaming Limited

2:00 pm ET - Platinum Gaming Limited has been ordered to pay a fine approaching £1.62 million ($2.04 million).

The company is accused of violating the UK Gambling Commission's money laundering and social responsibility rules.

It operates the Unibet Casino and Bingo.com platforms.

From EuropeanGaming.com:

During Commission enquiries it was revealed the customer’s deposits were so high and losses so significant Platinum Gaming should have considered refusing or barring service to the customer. Instead the operator continued to allow the customer to gamble.

The action comes as the Commission was probing Unibet for allegedly permitting ‘a convicted fraudster’ to bet with stolen money on their site.

Bitcoin At $1 Mil By 2020 Is Still Possible and Might be a Bargain

10:02 am ET - Best-selling author and former hedge fund manager James Altucher is not backing down from his $1-million-dollar bitcoin call that he boldly made back in 2017. His timelines may be a little different however. Altucher made the call two years ago when bitcoin was trading around $11,000, he called for the crypto to hit $1 million by 2020.

Bitcoin 'Supply Shock' Is Looming, Warns Venture Capitalist

10:02 am ET - A U.S. venture capitalist has praised bitcoin's "exciting" progression in recent months and years but warned the market is heading for a "supply shock" thanks to next year's closely watched bitcoin halvening event, now just 342 days away.

"What I think might be happening is an anticipation of a coming supply shock in 2020," Alyse Killeen, managing partner of StillMark Capital told Bloomberg, a financial newswire. "In 2020 we'll have just half the daily supply of bitcoin that we do now."

"While we're looking ahead to this supply shock and halvening event, we're also seeing greater demand for bitcoin and new on-ramps for more familiar and conventional sources. There's the anticipation that there will be a broader group of users and consumers who have an appetite for bitcoin," Killeen said.  Read More From Forbes Here

The Lakers are now at 5/1 odds at Westgate.  The Lakers were +1800 to win the title as early as of a few weeks ago.

The Raptors won the Championship last night in Game 6 on the Warriors turf.  They are listed at 10/1 odds.  That's 5th shortest.
