New York Sports Betting Bill Revived
2:51 pm ET - Sports fans would be able to place bets at Yankee Stadium and other major venues under a revised bill filed Wednesday.
New York State Sen. Joseph Addabbo, who chairs the Racing, Gaming and Wagering Committee, filed a revision Wednesday to the mobile sports betting bill that would all in-person wagering in counties that don’t have gambling venues.
The legislation will clear the way for gambling at places such as Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden and the Barclays Center.

How New Wire Act Decision Affects Sports Betting, DFS, Poker
11:39 am - On Monday, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire held that the Interstate Wire Act applies only to "activities associated with sports gambling" and not to the interstate sale of online lottery tickets.
The impact, according to Forbes, is that poker site operators will benefit significantly as they can now offer their products across state lines. Poker sites require a pool of players, and most states simply will not have enough of them to succeed. They will need to rely on multi-state pools.
From Forbes:
For online poker operators, Monday's court decision represents just about the greatest win imaginable at this stage of litigation. Prior to the Trump administration's November 2018 memorandum, the U.S. states that had legalized online poker, including Delaware, New Jersey and Nevada, had taken steps to allow for interstate poker pools, which would have allowed licensed operators to offer contests across state lines. The Trump administration's broad interpretation of the Wire Act nevertheless called into doubt whether online companies that offered interstate poker contests could truly do so without violating the Wire Act. However, since poker is clearly not "associated with sports gambling," Monday's court decision clearly supports the legality of interstate poker compacts, paving the way for online poker's further growth on a national or semi-national basis.

Scott Clements Wins 2019 WSOP Dealer's Choice
11:39 am ET - Scott Clements has earned his third career World Series of Poker gold bracelet by winning Event #10 at the 2019 WSOP, $1,500 Dealers Choice. Clements collected a $144,957 payday in addition to the bracelet.
Clement's win came in the challenging dealer's-choice format, in which each player in rotation chooses the game to be played from a list of 20 different poker variants. Clements won bracelets in 2006 and 2007, but endured a 12-year drought before returning to title form in this event.
Clements, a 37-year-old poker pro from Mount Vernon, Washington, led through most of the final table, finally separating himself from his remaining foes during four-handed play. Clements' final opponent was Santa Rosa, California's Tim McDermott, who fell just shy of his own first bracelet win. McDermott's second-place effort earned him $89,567.
Final Table Payouts:
1st: Scott Clements, $144,957
2nd: Tim McDermott, $89,567
3rd: Mike Ross, $58,718
4th: Naoya Kihara, $39,377
5th: Wes Self, $27,027

Rovell: 86% of Spread Action on Game 3 of NBA Finals Was on Raptors +3
10:14 am - Darren Rovell of the Action Network tweeted out Wednesday night that New Jersey-licensed PointsBet saw heavy lopsided action on the Raptors spread compared to other NJ books.
86% of the money On spread at @PointsBetUSA was on the Raptors (+3) tonight. Australian based sportsbook based in New Jersey saved by fact that moneyline bets were relatively even.
Not lost on some of Rovell's followers is the idea that balanced money line action probably wouldn't have helped much with this type of lopsided action on the Raptors. Toronto destroyed Golden State 123-109. The Raptors are now up 2-1 in the series.
PointsBet is a relatively new book that got its start in Australia in 2017.
