31-Year-Old Italian Giuliano Bendinelli has won $1.5 Million and is the new 2022 EPT Barcelona Champion.  It was the biggest win in the tournament's nearly 20 year history.

“I can’t believe it. It’s the best day of my life. I’m speechless,” Bendinelli told PokerStars TV following his huge win.

The victory moves Bendinelli's win total in live career tournaments to $2,488,313.  His biggest win to date had been at the € 1,000 + 100 No Limit Hold'em - Monaco Cup - Re-Entry in 2013 for € 100,000.

At one point during six-handed play, the Italian player was down to just more than a single big blind.

“I can’t believe it happened today. I’m proud about how I played, but I also won some showdowns,” Bendinelli said when asked about his ‘chip-and-a-chair’ comeback. “I’m grateful to be here.”
