The retired New England Patriots tight end also made it clear he wants to play with Tom Brady, who is now with the Tampa Bay Bucs.
The Patriots have agreed to trade Rob Gronkowski to the Buccaneers in a deal that reunites the retired tight end with quarterback Tom Brady in Tampa Bay.
Gronkowski's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, confirmed Tuesday to ESPN's Adam Schefter that his client was traded to the Buccaneers. Rosenhaus said later Tuesday on SportsCenter that Gronkowski is "looking forward to playing with Tom again."
Sources: Retired #Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski has told New England that he’s interested in playing football again — and would want to do it with the #Bucs and QB Tom Brady. A trade would have to be worked out for this to happen.

Because of Brady, the Bucs had the fifth shortest odds of winning the 2021 Super Bowl at 15-1. After news broke, the Bucs had moved only a point to 14-1. That number will come down as betting action began flowing in Tuesday evening.
"I'm feeling good right now,” Gronk said. "I'm happy where I'm at. You just never know, man. You just never know. You never know. I'm not totally done."
Among his many accomplishments, he has the most career postseason receiving yards by a tight end (1,163) – the only tight end in NFL history to reach 1,000 or more yards.
