Harrah's Atlantic City Sports Book Now Open

Harrah's became the 4th Atlantic City casino to open a sports book Wednesday.

Sports betting commenced at 11 am, just one day before the Hall of Fame game officially kicks off the new NFL season.  Its sister property, Bally's, began taking bets on sports just two days ago.

So far, the Borgata, Ocean Resort and Bally's are offering sports bets, along with two horse racing tracks, the Meadowlands and Monmouth Park.

None of the sports books have been approved to take bets online or via mobile phones.  This can still be done by accessing internationally-licensed sports betting sites, some of which have been around for nearly 20 years now (Bookmaker.eu has existed since 1986, prior to 1998 as a call center sports book).
