Hot Team to Bet Right Now and Why That Trend Might Continue - UVA
Bettors have been raking in the cash by backing now number 25 ranked UVA. The Cavs have covered in all but one of eight games so far in 2018 as we enter Week 10.

So will that trend continue into Week 10 as oddsmakers realize they need to react?
Maybe not. Pittsburgh has beaten the Cavaliers in four of their last five meetings, though the favorite is 6-1-1 Against The Spread in their last 8 meetings. UVA's last victory against the Panthers was back in 2014. Two years ago, when the Cavs hosted Pittsburgh, the Panthers were a -3.5 favorite.
Virginia should have a slight advantage on defense. The Cavaliers, who give up an average of 327.4 yards per game, are No. 20 in the nation in total defense. The Panthers are giving up 409.9 yards per game, which is 84th in the country.
The Cavs are coming in at -7 to -7.5 depending on the book. Sagarin's ratings indicate the line should be Virginia -8. The books aren't going there out of fear that this one could fall right on that number with 85% of the spread bets coming in on Pittsburgh.
Because we have a sharp reporting book holding at Cavs -7 under these circumstances, we say go with Virginia again in Week 10.
