Injuries and Other News

What exactly is going on with that drop in the line Tuesday?

The Texans’ No. 3 pick will be active against the Colts Sunday.

Derek Stingley has been "100-percent" cleared by the team's medical staff to participate in all activities, Texans head coach Lovie Smith confirmed, but that was on Monday.

“He’s healthy. He’s ready to go,” Smith said Monday. “It’s safe to say he’s going to play this week. I’m excited about seeing him play.”

The Texans also worked out former Colts running back Jordan Wilkins, according to a league source on Tuesday.

Wilkins rushed for 951 career yards and four touchdowns with 35 receptions for 233 yards and no scores.

A former Colts fifth-round draft pick from Mississippi, Wilkins rushed for 1,751 yards and 14 touchdowns in college.

In the CBS Sports Power Ratings, Houston starts off at No. 26.

"They will be better than most expect. Davis Mills will be one of the surprise players in the league this year."

The Houston defense was looking pretty good during the preseason.
